The Maybelline Colour Tattoos have had my heart
with their shade On & On Bronze for some years now, it sneaks its way onto
my lids at least a few times a week due to it's longevity, fool proof
application and neutral 'every-day' colour.
However the one gripe I do have with the Maybelline
Colour Tattoos is their lack of neutral shades, so when my friend Hannah went
on her travels to New York I sent her on a mission to bring me back another
neutral shade, to which she returned with 'Permanent Taupe'. Apparently it's
available in the UK however I've never actually seen it in stores so was
thrilled to get my hands on it.
I'd describe the shade as a grey toned brown which
not only looks great simply as a wash of colour all over the lid (especially on
blue eyes) but also works brilliantly as a base for layering shadows. Just like
On & On Bronze the formula is creamy but once set doesn't budge and lasts
all day (a god send during hay fever season!) so if you're lucky and manage
spot one in store I’d highly recommend picking one up even if it's just to use
as a base for other shadows as it works much better than any eye primer I've
tried.
So come on Maybelline, up your neutrals game and I’ll
rush out and buy the lot!
I brought this by accident once! I went in to get On & On Bronze but accidently picked up Permanent Taupe instead and I'm so glad I did! You're right it's such a good base colour and I totally agree that Maybelline need to bring out more neutral shades in the line!

They're both great aren't they! Let's keep our fingers crossed for some more neutrals :) x
DeleteI love these! I hope I can find the 'Perfect Taupe' shade! I'm hooked on the 'On and On Bronze' shade myself! But the more neutrals, the better! lol
