When life gives you lemons... make lemon drizzle.
Something a bit different from the usual beauty stuff this week but I just had to share this scrumdiddlyumptious recipe that I nabbed from the ever so lovely Anna over at ViviannaDoesMakeup. Just a little too good to keep to myself...
Cake:
225g Salted Butter (keep this out at room temperature to soften up a bit before mixing)
225g Caster Sugar
275g Self-Raising Flour (sieve this before mixing)
1tsp Baking Powder
4 Large Eggs
4tbsp Milk
Grated Zest of 2 Lemons
The best bit (glaze)
Juice of 2 Lemons
175g Granulated Sugar
Whizz together all of the cake ingredients until smooth and bake in a fan oven at 180°C for 40 minutes, add the glaze and hey presto you've got yourself a lemon drizzle.
I dare you to try and just eat one slice...
